What is Purple?

Purple Café and Wine Bar pairs a global wine selection with a menu that combines classic American styles with seasonal Northwest ingredients. The staff at each of our locations creates their own variations on this theme, from each Wine Director's bottle selections, to every chef's daily specials. So while similar, each Purple offers an experience that is unique.

What kind of food does Purple serve?

We feature an expansive menu ranging from artisan cheeses, starters, soups, salads, sandwiches and pizzas to pasta and seafood. Each Purple location utilizes the freshest, local ingredients that change with the seasons.

What about the drinks?

With a wine list that features over 80 glass and 600 bottle selections, each Purple utilizes a dedicated Wine Director with a unique perspective. Over the years our wine program has been recognized with various accolades that include an "Award of Ultimate Distinction" from Wine Enthusiast Magazine and being named "Best Wine Bar" by Evening Magazine's Best of Western Washington Viewers Poll.

Is there a Happy Hour?

We offer happy hour at our Bellevue and Kirkland locations, daily, from 3pm to 6pm

Do you serve lunch?

Yes. All Purple locations serve lunch daily. In addition to dining at the restaurant, we offer a box lunch menu.

Do you take reservations?

Yes. We take reservations for parties of all sizes. Contact information for all of our restaurants is in the footer at the bottom of all pages on this site.

Do you offer group or private dining options?

Who owns Purple?

Purple is owned and managed by Larry and Tabitha Kurofsky, a Seattle-based couple who started the first Purple together in Woodinville (she served tables and he manned the bar). You can learn more about the people behind Purple on the Heavy Restaurant Group website.
